New Mexico Folk Music & Dance Society • FolkMADS  

 
The New Mexico Folk Music and Dance Society - FolkMADS - is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting and teaching traditional music and dance. FolkMADS sponsors Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos contra dances, Megabands, concerts, camps, and other special events.

 

The CDSS board will be holding a regional meeting in Albuquerque
the weekend of February 10-12.


FolkMADS will host several events in conjunction with their meeting.

Our usual admission rates will apply for each dance: $7 members/$8 non-members; $4/$5 seniors; students half-price with ID

Friday, Feb 10th
Potluck at the Lloyd Shaw Center 5:30 - 7:30 (Simona Derr, food coordinator.)
Squares with Doc Litchman, and CDSS board members. 7:30 - 10:00
Music by Scott, Linda, Bruce and Wayne

Saturday Feb. 11th
Potluck at Heights Community Center 6:00-7:30. (food coordinator Nancy Ford.)
English and Contra dancing. 7:30-10:30.
Assorted callers from the CDSS board of national fame and callers of local fame
Music by Della, Gemma and members of the CDSS board.

Sunday Feb. 12th
Brunch at the home of Meg Adams in the North Valley 9:00-12:00 with structured meeting time to chat with CDSS Board members around 10:00
